Bay Window
Bay Window

This a piece done in the style of Bruno Andrade, a painting professor I took several classes with at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

Covered Bridge
Covered Bridge

This is a palette knife painting done for my late Mother-in-law. She wanted a painting of a covered bridge like the ones in Connecticut. I resisted the urge to paint the bridge red.

oil on canvas   24x30    1996

Noseride
Noseride

I used to surf in Galveston, Texas.  Lots of fond memories from that time.  I painted a whole series of surfing scenes, this is the one I saved for myself. Painting all that white spray became tedious.

Luther's Bird
Luther's Bird

Luther Jones was a former Mayor of Corpus Christi. He used to carry around these little blue and gray seagull appliques that he would stick on people's coat lapels to promote the city.(there was a big seagull in the old city seal) The idea was inspired by Wayne Thiebaud's cityscapes. I'm still working on the idea, and the painting remains unfinished.

Marina Sunrise
Marina Sunrise

A sunrise at the city marina. Turns out the boat in the picture belongs to someone who attends the same church I go to.
